On DnA's post, I have to say that CSS is not differrently interpretted. In all browsers, but IE.
IE is the only one to have those fuck damn problems, and it's been bugging me since I started coding CSS.

Asfor PHP, C++ isn't like PHP at all, except for the syntax.
There is no variable initialising, you define variables with a leading $, you don't have to worry about type casting, etc etc.

It's hard to tell people to switch to another protocol. Although I love ICQ, all my friends use AIM, so I'm stuck. Now I also need to have access to MSN. AOL actually published a protocol for AIM a few years back called TOC. They use protocol Oscar, but you can connect with TOC (they use this in their Java client). See how projects like Everybuddy and Gaim cope with AIM

Sure, we really read the news on your page but often there isn't much to discuss about them :( we do that in the mailinglist instead :) PHP is really nice, if you want to create cool dynamic webpages with database backends and hitech stuff like that, you should really learn how to use it. You already know C++ and people sais it is very like that language so it won't be a big problem for you :) CSS is also nice but be careful about the browser specific traps in it, the diffrent browsers can catch CSS code stuff diffrently so it will look bad in some browsers and as you want in others. (a reallife example from today, {border:thin solid black} is the same as {border:2px solid black} in IE but in konqeror thin=1px, a cosmetic thing but the css world is full of such diffrences between browsers) About AIM, I hope more users will move from AIM to ICQ so the presure of AIM support in centericq will calm down. AOL really sux :( Hope they doesn't plan something evil as that in the icq protocol.

d00d, i'm ignorant regarding how much work this would take to implement, but I think it's definitely worth a shot.
