11 Oct 2002 :: Well, spent quite a lot of time describing the trip to Brasov.. But it's not about me being lazy or something, as I might appear at first. The winds of change are to blame. The winds began to blow as soon as I thought about moving to another place... [ more.. ]

11 Jan 2006 :: As we entered the city, San Francisco appeared to consist mostly of one- and two-floor houses, just like the rest of California. The suburban streets are noisy, crowded and unclean. The Chinese population is huge. A couple of times we heard Russian-speaking folks... [ more.. ]

26 May 2006 :: At the laundry's entrance there stood some old guy. He started waving his hands as soon as he noticed us with the paper bags. "No-no-no" - he told us. Several days ago, as planned, I found a teacher of Romanian. As to me, it's awful to loose an opportunity to learn something new, since I find Knowledge the main motive force for myself. The more so, that living in the language environment, it's pretty easy to learn a language. And it's also very intresting. The teacher, Gustav, appeared to be a very intresting guy. First, he's not Romanian and originates from Costa Rica. Speaks very good Russian, for he used to study in Moscow. No need to mention, he also knows our curse words :) He also speaks quite a bunch of languages, including exotic ones such as Albanian and Hebrew. In a book store, when we went there to buy a hand-book for me, he pointed at a shelf with a hand-book of Spanish which he had written himself. I will take one lesson per week, and the first one this Saturday. However, because of being impatient I read the book from time to time, so I already can read Romanian words correctly and know forms of the "to be" verb :)
